The reproductive movement needs leaders who do things differently and do different things. CoreAlign’s Generative Fellowship is designed to teach current and emerging leaders how to employ fresh strategies, tactics, concepts and tools to address problems and stalemates in our work.
What problems are you aching to address in your sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice work? What do you need to put your best and most creative ideas to use in service of the movement? Where do you think innovation and collaboration can be used in service of the entire movement?

BUILDING A CULTURE OF INNOVATION
Innovation comes from disrupting habits, re-framing questions, debate and dissent, collaboration and learning from others. The myth of innovation is that one idea changes everything, when in reality it takes a series of failures and improvements to get the concept just right. As Thomas Edison said about inventing the light bulb, “I haven’t failed. I just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
Through the Generative Fellowship, CoreAlign aims to support a culture of innovation in the movement for sexual and reproductive lives. Each six-to-eight month fellowship brings together a cohort of 15-18 people working to solve complex problems with innovative strategies, tactics and programs. These leaders shift the way we understand issues, ask critical questions, and test new ways of engagement. CoreAlign supports fellows in experimenting with new strategies, collaborating with unlikely allies and applying concepts borrowed from other movements and fields. The Generative Fellowship is for curious, generous and generative people willing to lean into risk and explore unusual and fresh ideas.
